Inspire Me Thursday - Watercolours

The thing I love about painting in watercolour is the way colours blend in to each other in a wash. So this week I chose to do two of them with colours graduating from red, orange, yellow and purple, blue, green.
To make it a bit different and as an experiment I then wove the two together - mixing the colours again.

This is such a beautiful play of color! I like the contrast between the subtle bleeding/gradations and the very graphic woven shape.

The geometric design created with such spectacular movement of colour is quite exceptional! Being in an architectural/design mode today; my immediate reaction was that your design would translate into a fantastic area rug!

Wow, this is fantastic! What a beautiful job you've done with graduated washes. And weaving the two pieces together was brilliant - the colors leap off the page!

I had to do a double take to see that you actual wove this piece! I love it! The graduation of color really makes the blue pop. Great work!

Fun!

Sometimes it is good and healthy to just explore colors and patterns. Okay it is good and healthy to do so often!
